Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) vs Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) - IPL 2017 Match Prediction 10/04/2017

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) vs Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) - IPL 2017 Match Prediction 10/04/2017.

Kings XI Punjab strengths: Under the new leadership of Maxwell, KXIP is looking like a different unit altogether. They have a balanced unit and it is their strength. With the likes of Maxwell, Miller, Hashim Amla, Marcus Stoinis around, their middle order looks to have the required batting firepower. Someone like Eoin Morgan had to sit out in their first game, this shows the firepower of the KXIP batting order.

There is variety in their bowling as well. The likes of Axar, Swapnil create a good spin combination. In the pace department, they have Mohit Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Darren Sammy, Anureet Singh, Varun Aaron and the impressive seamer from Tamil Nadu, T Natarajan. They have also added Ishant Sharma to their line-up as a replacement for Murali Vijay, who has been ruled out of IPL 10 due to a shoulder injury.

Besides these, they have Virender Sehwag, who is the mentor of this team. His presence in the dugout and guidance are the real assets for the KXIP boys.

Kings XI Punjab weaknesses: Going into the event the top order batting seemed like a weakness for KXIP, but Manan Vohra and Hashim Amla did fairly well in the first game. AT number three, Wriddhiman Saha is also a decent enough batsman. Thus, currently, this issue seems to be sorted for this team.

However, lack of experience in bowling is one weakness which can hurt KXIP, like it did in the last game when the likes Ben Stokes and  Manoj Tiwary go some quick runs towards the end overs. Against RCB, this inexperienced bowling line-up might struggle once again.
RCB have already played two IPL matches this season with 1-1 record. They lost against SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad) and then won the thriller against Delhi Daredevils. Both Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers missed their first tow IPL 10 matches due to injuries.

With good batsmen like Chris Gayle, Shane Watson and Kedar Jadhav, they are still a force to reckon with. Not to forget, RCB has some good bowlers too; Pawan Negi, Watson and S Aravind are well capable of dismantling any batting line up anytime. The latest buzz also confirmed that star batsman AB de Villiers may join tomorrow’s match. It will further strengthen their batting powers.

Royal Challengers Bangalore strengths: Batting has always been RCB’s main strength. Even without the presence of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers RCB have enough batting firepower. The likes of Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Kedar Jadhav are capable enough to do the job.

Royal Challengers Bangalore weaknesses: The RCB team is missing their big stars and it this their major weakness. The bat of the big hitting Chris Gayle was also silent in the first two games of the season. RCB quickly need to get their mojo back.

Pitch and weather conditions: The wicket at the Holkar stadium is regarded for its high scoring nature but in the first game, the oddball was stopping. However, on Monday, it will be a night game, and under lights, the wicket becomes better for batting. Toss one against will be vital once again, as both skippers will look to chase here.

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) vs Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) - IPL 2017 Match Prediction

KXIP vs RCB Head to Head Records IPL is as old as IPL. Head to head KXIP and RCB have played 18 games so far. KXIP won 10 games while RCB won 8 games. When we talk about head to head battle, KXIP has upper hand on the RCB. Winning ratio is more than 60%. Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore have never faced each other before at the Holkar Cricket Stadium.

Glenn Maxwell and David Miller lived up to their respective reputations to steer Kings XI Punjab to a comfortable six-wicket win against Rising Pune Supergiants in their Indian Premier League 2017 opener in Indore. With four sixes and two fours, Maxwell led from the front, scoring an unbeaten 44 of 20 balls and was well supported by Miller (30*). ON other hand RCB had a topsy-turvy start, suffering a loss in their season opener against the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad they finally cruised to an impressive win last night against Delhi. Missing out on star players but some great bowling and batting by Jadhav sealed the deal for them last night!

The much-fancied Royal Challengers Bangalore did not get off to the most auspicious start against the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad. The injury-ravaged team did offer competition at few instances, but could not muster enough to get better of SRH in the opener. The bowlers leaked plenty of runs as they conceded a mammoth 207 in their 20 overs. Although the batsmen started in right earnest they fell way short of the eventual target and had to concede defeat by a huge margin of 35 runs.

AB de Villiers will return and he will be in charge of the team until Virat Kohli gets back into the side. Middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan who had sustained a leg injury during a practice session is likely to be ruled out of the tournament. RCB’s top order has been bolstered by the return of their key man AB de Villiers. This will take some pressure off of Chris Gayle who will now look to play more freely and one can expect a big inning from him in this match. The team will count on Tymal Mills and Yuzvendra Chahal to deliver the goods with the ball. Chahal has been impressive so far and the KXIP batsmen may not be very comfortable against.
