Toss Prediction

Toss is going to be crucial at the M Chinnaswamy. Since the side batting first at this ground has emerged victorious on more number of occasions than the side batting second in recent times, the toss-winning team is more likely to have a bat first. We recommend betting on Royal Challengers Bangalore if they bat first in this match.

Two struggling teams of IPL 2017 -- Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) – are set for a massive encounter in Bengaluru on Sunday. With just one win each, RCB and RPS will be looking to come with an all-round performance to pick their second win of IPL 2017.
With the pitch in Bengaluru slow and dry in RCB's last home match, it could be a tricky affair on Sunday.
Here is how Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) Match 17 could go.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS)

RCB Team Analysis and Overview: RCB have themselves to blame for the position they are in. They lost to MI after putting themselves in a winning position. They have won just one game out of four and another loss would make their task difficult. Kohli has announced his arrival with a fifty against MI. But other star batsman in Chris Gayle needs to fire as well to lessen burden on other players. RCB bowling has also been inconsistent.

RCB strength: Batting has always been their biggest strength, but it has not fired in unison. Gayle has been off-colour. They are also not finishing off well. But it is just a matter of time that RCB batting destroy the opposition. And nothing can be better than feasting on RPS’s poor bowling resources.

RCB weakness: Their batting and bowling lack consistency and have allowed opposition to come back into the match from losing situations. They are missing that killer punch that sailed them to the final of 2016 IPL. They must find momentum quickly or would find it difficult to get back into the tournament.

RCB (Possible XI):

Virat Kohli (captain)

Chris Gayle

AB de Villiers

Kedar Jadhav

Pawan Negi

Mandeep Singh

Stuart Binny

Tymal Mills

Sreenath Aravind

Y Chahal

Samuel Badree

RPS Team Analysis and Overview: RPS are struggling to get their combination right. And they are performing below potential. They won the only match when their skipper Steven Smith led from the front. Smith needs to set an example for others to lift their game and give RPS a chance to get momentum in their IPL campaign.

RPS strengths: Batting is the strength, but it has not fired in unison and failed to finish off in a high. They boast of a good batting line up comprising Steven Smith, Ajinkya Rahane, Ben Stokes and MS Dhoni. But they are yet to fire together. They might just be waiting to feast on a batting friendly track in Bengaluru.

RPS weakness: RPS bowling is their biggest concern. They have leaked runs aplenty. They have leaked 184, 164, 205 and 172 in the four games. Their bowling is visibly struggling. Imran Tahir began well, but he has not been consistent either. The Indian bowlers have been ineffective. RPS need to solve their bowling woes.

RPS (Possible XI):

Steven Smith (captain)

Ajinkya Rahane

Ben Stokes

MS Dhoni

Imran Tahir

Shardul Thakur

Lockie Ferguson

Manoj Tiwary

RD Chahar

Ankit Sharma

RA Tripathi

Pitch report: M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is a flat pitch where the ball comes on nicely to bat. This ground has always seen high-scoring games and even big target has been chased down with ease. The team that wins toss would look to field as setting a target that can be safe is difficult to predict at this ground.
