Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs KXIP (Kings XI Punjab) IPL 2017 Match Prediction 13/4/2017- Today Prediction.

KKR vs KXIP IPL 10 11th today match Prediction Who Will Win Apr 13, 2017?

Kolkata Knight Riders: Strengths

Home conditions! One of the most beautiful stadiums across India, Eden Gardens has been a fortress for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL history. Their record at this venue in the past few seasons has been phenomenal. The crowd support takes KKR’s game to the next level and you can witness it in the effort of the players on the field. Shakib Al Hasan is back in the squad and he’ll be itching to perform in his first match of the season for the Knights. The Bangladesh star was away on national duty and his contributions with the bat have helped the Bangladesh Tigers win in all three formats against the Lankan Lions this season.

Today’s match will be played between Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders. While Kolkata has a history by its side, with two times win in the IPL, Punjab has the momentum, where they have won two back to back matches in the IPL this year. Both the teams will face each other at the Eden Gardens. This will be the first match at the stadium in the IPL this year. Thus, we cannot have a clear picture about how the wicket might show its character, while we are doing today’s match prediction.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs KXIP (Kings XI Punjab) IPL 2017 Match Prediction

Kolkata Knight Riders:Gautam Gambhir (c), Robin Uthappa (wk), Chris Lynn, Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Suryakumar Yadav, Chris Woakes, Sunil Narine, Ankit Rajpoot, Kuldeep Yadav, Trent Boult, Shakib Al Hasan, Umesh Yadav, Andre Russell, Piyush Chawla, Sheldon Jackson, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Darren Bravo, Rishi Dhawan, Roman Powell, Ishank Jaggi, Sayan Ghosh, Ramsingh Sanjay Yadav, Colin de Grandhomme

Kings XI Punjab:Glenn Maxwell (c), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Manan Vohra, Hashim Amla, David Miller, Axar Patel, Marcus Stoinis, Mohit Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan, Varun Aaron, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Anureet Singh, Shaun Marsh, Nikhil Naik, KC Cariappa, Armaan Jaffer, Pardeep Sahu, Swapnil Singh, Eoin Morgan, Matt Henry, Rahul Tewatia, Martin Guptill, Darren Sammy, Rinku Singh, Ishant Sharma

Gambhir-Uthappa at the top – Kolkata’s best opening pair of Gambhir and Uthappa will be back after Lynn’s shoulder injury. Perhaps, this was the script written by the Cricket gods for Lynnsanity (Chris Lynn) after his mind-blowing performance in KKR’s season opener.

In-form Manish Pandey – Against Mumbai Indians, Manish Pandey played a crucial knock and helped KKR reach a competitive total which made the match an interesting affair. Had it not been Manish’s innings of 81*, Mumbai Indians might have won that match without breaking a sweat. So, Manish has struck form early in the tournament and that’s a big plus point for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Kings XI Punjab Strengths:

Fantastic start to IPL 2017 campaign:

Hashim Amla and Glenn Maxwell have contributed for KXIP in both games and have outfoxed opposition bowlers with their class. Two convincing victories against his Australian counterparts in the form of Steve Smith and Shane Watson would have given a huge boost in confidence to Kings XI Punjab’s new skipper. He’ll be up against an Indian captain for the first time in the tournament so it will be an interesting battle.

Excellent bowling – Axar Patel, Sandeep Sharma, and other KXIP bowlers have been right on the money at the start of IPL season 2017. Impressive spells by their bowlers have helped the team restrict their oppositions to smaller totals and so far Kings XI Punjab have struck all the right chords. Under Maxwell, this team seems to be performing really well and they look a good solid unit.

Kings XI Punjab Weakness:

Kings XI Punjab doesn't have a good record against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL history. This was the same team that beat KXIP in the finals of the 2014 IPL. Also, Sunil Narine has a good record against KXIP and that’ll be at the back of his mind. Going into this match, Sunil Narine might find back his lost touch if he’s amongst the wickets once again.

The crowd at Eden Gardens – The crazy KKR fans in Kolkata are one of the many reasons for KKR’s excellent record at this venue. KXIP fielders will feel the heat when the crowd will cheer for the home team in unison and back the home team with their loud chants.
